News of a new episode of Law & Order SVU on 2/26/2014 that takes a hit on already dead-horse topic of Daniel Tosh's rape joke. But they cleverly change the name to Josh Galloway "clever, no?" The episode revolves around about two dumb-asses (no doubt men) raping a college girl, also they rapists are fans of Josh. And for some stupid reason, the TSU student Carly accuses accuses the comedian for her when its actually her TWO CLASSMATES WHO DID IT!! Not only does that sound sound so ridiculous and impossible to make a case out of, but I believe that episode will end with the comedian and the two fans going to jail for life.
What's my point I'm trying to get at? The point is that while this show tries to tell the horribleness of sex crimes, but it fails completely when the premise of the show is about rape and sexual abuse cases. Nor only that, but it hits points of being offensive to other races and genders. The episodes that I recall that has male victims, the "detectives" they call themselves, becomes the biggest dick-horses I've ever seen. They even had one episode where two of three men was sodomised by a psychotic woman, but when they discovered she was raped years by the same men she assaulted, they pull the blame-the-victim trick that even one of the characters called them out on. They made of the men yell that HE DESERVED, WHAT THE F@%#K!!!
I hate it when a medium tries to take about sex crimes or domestic abuse and how people can become victims, they always make the victims all to be women. That's just wrong because we all know that these things can and does happen to everyone of different gender, age, race, and etc. Bu at the hands of an incompetent writer, these things only happen to women. Was the women raped when she was sobered when had sex with a drunk man, apparently thinks that how SVU thinks it works.
Rape jokes I've always have a issue with double standards. What, it's not funny when a woman is raped by a guy but we laugh our asses off when the infamous scene of Deliverance happens? I'm sorry but...NO!!!!! Men and women being raped by someone of the same gender does not make them homosexual nor is it erotic. And jokes of how men being raped by women makes them a wussy or makes them a lucky person, when they say he didn't wanted to have sex or said the "No" their rapist, then it plain out rape! Nor is rape is a hate crime against women, its not. Sexual crimes is a form of violence and violence is a crime that happens to humanity, not to a single gender. It gotten so bad that the media can't put the word assault and woman together in a news-report without it involving sexual assault. They do know what the word "assault" means right?
Why is it only funny when they happen to men, but when it happens to women people wants the head of those who was responsible. We all know Bobbitt case and how we shamelessly praised Lorena as a "hero" except when the story of what happen doesn't make any damn sense but decided not to look any deeper into it.
